Mobile Notary Payment & Appointment Policies
Booking Deposit & Payment
A $50 booking deposit is required to reserve your mobile notary appointment and is applied toward the total service fee.
The deposit is refundable when at least 24 hours’ notice is provided for cancellation.
The remaining balance is due at the time of the appointment. Additional fees may apply for services such as printing, extended wait time, additional notarizations, or witness coordination, where applicable.

Cancellations, No-Shows & Rescheduling
Appointments canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice qualify for a refund of the booking deposit.
If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, if the appointment is missed, or if the appointment cannot proceed due to signer unavailability or lack of readiness, the deposit is not refundable. Once the notary is en route or has arrived at the appointment location, the deposit is also not refundable.
One reschedule may be accommodated based on availability. A new deposit may be required.
Any witness fee paid is non-refundable once witness coordination has been arranged.
Signer Readiness & Appointment Requirements
For the appointment to proceed, all signers must be present, alert, willing, and able to understand the document being signed, and must present valid, unexpired government-issued photo identification.
An appointment may not proceed if:
the signer appears drowsy, overly medicated, confused, pressured, or unwilling
identification is missing, expired, or does not reasonably match the document
documents are incomplete, unavailable, or not ready for signing
If the appointment cannot proceed for any of these reasons, the booking deposit will be non-refundable. Any applicable witness fees will also remain non-refundable.
Completed Services & Document Acceptance
All completed notarizations are final. Refunds are not issued for completed notarial services or for documents later rejected by attorneys, government agencies, courts, lenders, or other third parties.
It is the signer’s responsibility to confirm document requirements with the receiving party in advance.
Signers & Witnesses
All required signers and witnesses must be present at the scheduled appointment time.
Additional wait time at the appointment may result in additional fees.
Witness fees are non-refundable, as witnesses reserve time specifically for the scheduled appointment.
Witness Notarization for Florida Wills
Certain documents, including Wills with a Self-Proving Affidavit, require witness signatures to be notarized. Witnesses must present valid, unexpired photo identification. Additional fees apply.

Credible Witness Affidavit
A Credible Witness Affidavit may be used when a signer does not have acceptable government-issued identification under Florida law. Two credible witnesses who personally know the signer must appear and swear to the signer’s identity before the notary.
Requirements include:
two credible witnesses with valid photo identification
witnesses who personally know the signer
oath or affirmation administered before the notary
This service is performed in compliance with Florida law. Additional fees apply.
Optional Printing
Printing is available at $0.50 per page. Documents may be emailed in advance, and printing charges will be added to the final invoice.
Witnesses
If your document requires witnesses, they may be provided upon request. If you are providing your own witnesses, the following must be submitted in advance:
Full legal name
Email address
Phone number
Residential address
Note: Witnesses must have valid ID, a camera-enabled device, and internet access.
Document Preparation Requirements
Documents must be fully completed prior to the session. The notarial certificate section must be left blank for the notary to complete.
Notaries of South Florida does not prepare or review legal documents or provide legal advice. Incomplete or incorrect documents may result in rescheduling.
Late Arrival
A $25 late-arrival fee applies if we can accommodate the delay and proceed. Otherwise, payment is nonrefundable, and a new booking and payment are required. No late-arrival fee is charged if the signing cannot proceed.
No-Show Policy
Clients who do not attend and provide no notice are considered no-shows. Payment is nonrefundable, and a new booking and payment are required.

Final Sale
Notaries of South Florida is not responsible for documents rejected by attorneys, courts, lenders, or any other receiving party. It is the signer’s responsibility to inquire in advance about any specific requirements and to confirm that the document will be accepted before the appointment.
Remote Online Notarization – Booking & Cancellation Policy
To ensure a smooth and efficient notarization experience, please review the following prior to booking your Remote Online Notarization session.
Scheduling & Payment
Full payment is required to confirm your appointment. Once payment is received, each signer will receive their session link by email.
All sessions include a check of your documents for notarization preparation, platform setup, and placement of signing fields. We are not attorneys and do not review legal content or provide legal advice. Please consult your attorney to confirm that your documents meet your legal needs.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. With the required notice, you may receive a refund or reschedule at no additional charge, subject to the preparation and platform fees below. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice are nonrefundable. A new booking and payment are required for another session.
What Is Required From Each Signer
To schedule your appointment, please provide for each signer:
Full legal name (as it appears on the document)
Email address
Phone number
Before Your Session
Each signer must have:
A computer, tablet, or smartphone with camera and microphone
A stable internet connection
Access to the email address where the session link will be sent
Note: A laptop or desktop is recommended for the best experience.
Identification Requirements
Each signer must present an original, unexpired government-issued photo ID:
U.S. driver’s license, or
U.S. or foreign passport
The name on the document must reasonably match the ID presented.

Identity Verification
Each signer is required to complete a secure identity verification process through the platform prior to the live session. If identity verification cannot be successfully completed, the notarization cannot proceed.
If a Session Cannot Be Completed
If a session cannot proceed due to signer-related issues, the time reserved and preparation completed for your appointment have already been performed. This includes, but is not limited to:
Failure to pass identity verification
Invalid, expired, or unacceptable identification
Technical or internet issues on the signer’s end
Not being ready at the scheduled time
Missing or incomplete documents
Customer-provided witnesses being unavailable or unable to meet session requirements.
A new booking and payment are required for another session. If the session cannot be completed because of an issue on our end or a platform outage, you may reschedule at no additional charge or receive a full refund.

Emergency situations may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
